Hydraulic hybrid Trucks?

I know from my own observation (I drive a new Chevy with a meter that shows instantaneous miles per gallon) that gaining momentum - starting from a stand-still - consumes lots of fuel. If this proposal works, think of all the applications. Delivery trucks such as UPS is a start. What about school buses? City buses? Airport shuttles?
